Dr Polyniki is an ambitious, hard-working and conscientious Psychiatrist.

She has worked at the Mental Health Services of Cyprus for 10 years (five years as a Resident of Psychiatry and five years as a Psychiatrist), positioned in various sites: the Psychiatric Clinic of Limassol General Hospital, Psychiatric Out-Patients’ Clinics in Limassol and Nicosia, and the Athalassa Mental Health Hospital in Nicosia.

Her main areas of interest are Depressive and Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Schizophrenia and other Psychotic Disorders, and Eating Disorders. Since January 2015 she runs her own private practice in Nicosia, and she also collaborates with Chrysovalantou Clinic in Limassol. Since 2012 she is a Senior Lecturer at St George’s, University of London medical programme, delivered in Cyprus by the University of Nicosia Medical School.

In September 2015 Dr Polyniki has been appointed as an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at the SGUL medical programme, delivered in Cyprus by the UNic Medical School. She is also the Lead for CS year, as well as the Assessment Lead for P year.

Dr Polyniki is the mother of two children, and challenges never seem to put her at rest; she currently starts her PhD in the field of Medical Education at St George’s University of London. Her ultimate aim is to utilise her combined knowledge of Medicine and Technology in the service of human life and well-being.

2008: Residency in Neurology, Sheba Medical Centre, Tel Aviv, Israel.
2010: Postgraduate Degree in the Specialty of Psychiatry, Greece.
2010: Master Degree in Management of Health Services, Open University of Cyprus.
2015: PhD candidate at the SGUL, in the field of Medical Education.
